Hey there, I’m Michael! Owner, In the Moment Photography, LLC.

Photography has always been a passion in my family. As a child, I would often explore my grandfather’s homemade darkroom, where he developed photos. I have relatives who have been photographers for National Geographic and the NFL.

In 2017, I purchased my first camera, and ever since, I’ve been practicing and learning new techniques to capture beautiful moments.

I’m fascinated by the world around us and the incredible diversity it encompasses.

Bio: I currently live in Arlington, VA with my husband and I am a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer who taught secondary English in Rwanda (2017-2019). I also got to work on various community development projects that focused on renewable energy, gender empowerment, nutrition and youth/adult literacy. Some projects included re-building the local hydropower plant, after-school reading clubs, reusable menstrual pads and diapers made from locally-sourced materials, and sustainable gardening techniques for healthier school lunches.
